There is only one curriculum that my student's have ever gotten excited about; Investigations Math (Scott Foresman). My district requires it, but we supplement with another curriculum a bit, as well. Anytime we spent a week away from Investigations, my kids would beg for "the other math." They LOVED it!Casey Orrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12540879402875429356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1092203160300085551.post-31230841819682050702011-07-29T21:24:20.823-07:002011-07-29T21:24:20.823-07:00I agree! (Like most teachers, I've occasionally had to work with outdated or inconsistent curriculum materials, and it's not fun.) But you're right. The real learning happens with a great teacher regardless of the shiny textbook!

Great stuff over here, btw!Erin @ Small Typeshttp://www.smalltypes.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1092203160300085551.post-72923188557956835172011-07-29T15:36:48.781-07:002011-07-29T15:36:48.781-07:00I feel you about these textbooks. I create lessons and activities that are appropriate for my students. Like you said, the children benefit exponentially from the guidance and instruction of the teacher.

Dana
3rd Grade GridironDanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07369671931557275952noreply@blogger.com
